WE CAN SUCCEED WHERE OTHERS HAVE FAILED

    On June 6th, thousands of people just like you began to organize to support President Obama's health care reform by gathering in homes and coffee shops across America.

    President Obama is committed to:

  • Reduce costs for families, businesses and government;
  • Assure affordable, quality health care for all Americans; and
  • Protect people's choice of doctors, hospitals and health plans.

YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED  - Join us to continue the progress for health care reform.

The next meeting of the Executive Committee will be on Tuesday, June 23 at 6 PM at the Camden County Library.  Anyone wishing to bring an item before the Executive Committee for discussion or action is asked to contact Chair Maryann Meador at 912 322 2916 or maryannmeador@yahoo.com

Decorate Your Bike Contest!

Kids from ages 6 to 15 are invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Decorate Your Bike for the 4th of July Contest.  Come to the lawn of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Saint Marys (the corner of Osborne and Conyers) on Friday, July 3 between 9 AM and noon.  Snacks will be served while you are decorating, and a hot dog lunch will be served at noon.  The judging will be at 1 PM, and there will be prizes and trophies for the winners of each age group, a trophy from the Mayor and a grand prize for the best overall decoration.  Winners will ride in the 4th of July Parade!  For more information, contact Rich Hellesto at 912 576 8698.

4th of July Plans

Event Chair John Bowen jdat@tds.net  912 673 8667 invites all Democrats to attend the Annual Saint
Marys 4th of July Parade and Festival.  Our fellow Democrats from Glynn County will be coming to join us in marching in the parade, and our own Tom Chapman will be distributing thousands of American Flags.  The Democrats of Camden County will also be staffing a booth at the Festival, and invite you to come and help and spread the Democratic message.  More details will be available after our June 9 meeting.  Let’s have a great turn out and show Camden County how much Democrats love their country!

Democratic Breakfast and White Donkey Sale

All Democrats and friends are invited to attend a homestyle breakfast of bacon, eggs and all the trimmings on Saturday, July 25, 2009 from 8 AM until 11 AM at the Camden County PSA Recreation Center.  Cost is $7 per person.  At 9 AM, we will hear from a special guest speaker to be announced at a later date.  At the same time, there will be a “White Elephant” Sale – tables are available for $25 in advance or $30 on the day of the sale.  Come and buy and sell your back to school items, treasures, holiday and craft items, baked goods, etc.

Fundraising Chairperson Robert Cummings robcumm@tds.net  912 576 3165 needs your help in food donations, cooking, serving and clean up.  Get in touch with him if you can help, or expect to hear from him!
